The High-Resolution Electron Microscopy (Monographs on the Physics and Chemistry of Materials) Description
The discovery of the Nanotube in 1991 by electron microscopy has ushered in the era of Nanoscience. The atomic-resolution electron microscope has been a crucial tool in this effort. This book gives the basic theoretical background needed to understand how electron microscopes allow us to see atoms, together with highly practical advice for electron microscope operators. The book covers the usefulness of seeing atoms in the semiconductor industry, in materials science (where scientists strive to make new lighter, stronger, cheaper materials), and condensed matter physics (for example in the study of the new superconductors). Biologists have recently used the atomic-resolution electron microscope to obtain three-dimensional images of the Ribosome, work which is covered in this book. The books also shows how the ability to see atomic arrangements has helped us understand the properties of matter.
This new third edition of the standard text retains the early section of the fundamentals of electron optics, linear imaging theory with partial coherence and multiple-scattering theory. Also preserved are updated earlier sections on practical methods, with detailed step-by-step accounts of the procedures needed to obtain the highest quality images of the arrangement of atoms in thin crystals using a modern electron microscope.

Selecting a Camera Tripod - Bonus #1 - Discover if your camera the correct size for your tripod? Tube. Duration : 3.57 Mins.
www.clickherephotographytips.com Camera tripods had been used the decades to assist photographers with creating their very unique images. I tripod is an essential item that every photographer should have regardless of the level of experience as they offer support for the camera and they can be used in varying degrees of lighting for example at night, or; for landscape photography Not all tripods are created the same, as there are many different varieties of tripod. Some of these include a mini tripod, Compact tripod and professional tripod for studio or location work. As tripods are different also are some tripod heads, for example some tripod heads are used in the television and movie industries to provide support to their very heavy equipment. Other tripod heads are designed to support a variety of different cameras, everything from smaller compact digital cameras, 35mm cameras, digital cameras and medium format cameras all the way up to large format cameras. I have also seen tripods that are used to support other items such as overhead projectors, slide projectors, video cameras, binoculars and telescopes. Tripods are manufactured by a variety of companies some of these include Manfrotto, Velbon, Gitzo, Bogen, Slik, Dynatran etc and each provide somewhat similar functions.

Rayday Exhibition Film Video Clips. Duration : 1.33 Mins.
In 2009 the Permanent Gallery in Brighton made reprints of Jeff Keen`s 1960s Rayday broadsheets, gathered together in a specially made box, and they asked Ian Helliwell to contribute a collage timeline to evoke the flavour of Keen`s life and work. They organised an exhibition to launch the Rayday box and the Gazwrx dvd set, with Helliwell also showing elements from his Art Flies Free super 8 film. He exhibited 35mm slides, and created new loops from part of the film`s soundtrack - one on reel to reel tape, and the other a recording onto magnetic striped super 8 film adorned with letraset shapes and words. For the exhibition launch Helliwell played a live improvised set with his self-built Hellitron tone generators, early versions of which had been used back in 2000 for Art Flies Free, in combination with Jeff Keen reading extracts of his Rayday text. This video is a brief record of the event organised and photographed by the Permanent Gallery, March 2009.

NOSTRADAMUS: Countdown To Apocalypse Video Clips. Duration : 9.47 Mins.
Remember the days of the A/V (audio-visual) or Tape/Slide programme? We used to produce these at in the early 80s for showing to the reps at sales conferences. Every picture was shot as a 35mm slide and these were placed in Kodak carousel projectors which were pulse-linked to a tape recorder. The main body of this particular offering was produced as such while the 'movie' sections at either end were shot on a bloody huge VHS camera - and the quality was shite! If only we'd had computers back then; things would've been so much easier using Final Cut or some such app. I found the old VHS of this at the back of a very deep, dark cupboard and having digitised it, tweaked it slightly adding the dissolves between live action and AV (unheard of back then but oh-so-easy now). I offer it up (in all it's Letrasetted glory) in memory of those bygone days at Pan Books.

Holmes Silent 35mm Projector From 1900's Video Clips. Duration : 8.58 Mins.
This is a Holmes 35mm Projector From the 1900's made in Chicago. These 35mm projectors were used in rural areas to show silent films. They had tent shows were you would pay 15 cents for adults or 10 cents for children to see the amazing motion pictures. Usually they had 2 projectors so they could keep changing reels on them for longer films. When I received it, it was dirty and had no motor on it. After cleaning it and oiling it I turned the gears by hand and I saw that it would function properly. There was a problem with the shutter on it, it would not turn but I knew it still would project. Then I had to find a motor with a ¼ shaft with 3000 rpms at least to get the film up to speed. I have some 35mm old silent safety film and some sound 35mm footage of silent film. I used my Canon Power Shot to shoot the video for You Tube. The music on the video is from 78 RPM records that I have in my collection. I used audio programs to clean them up a bit and put them on the computer. I have another projector. An old 35mm Silent Acme Suitcase Projector that I fixed up a while back and I will soon get this video up on You Tube if there is any interest in this.

Cómo funciona un proyector Video Clips. Duration : 2.97 Mins.

Kodak Ektagraphic III AMT slide projector Overview
The AMT model was Kodak's best selling professional projector for many reasons. It has every feature offered on the Ektagraphic III series except the integrated pull-out view-screen (to get this feature see the top-of-the-line Kodak Ektagraphic III ATS projector listing). The AMT has the features most will use (auto-focus, remote-focus, variable timer, etc). It projects an excellent picture, and like all the Ektagraphic III machines it is very durable and has better registration than the Kodak Carousel series of projectors (which were made for home use). The AMT did cost quite a bit more new but can be had used now for about the same price as the other Ektagraphic III models.
